Tupelo to Vegas, River Oaks

Tupelo to Vegas, November 26, 2022, River Oaks Event Center, River Oaks, Texas

Stardom Entertainment’s newest production, “Tupelo to Vegas,” takes you through a musical ride of the ‘Dynamic’ career of Elvis Aaron Presley. “Tupelo to Vegas” began in 1954 at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee, when Elvis recorded his first song for his mom, Gladys. It continues to the Louisiana Hayride 1954-1956 era, the rock’n’roll era of the late ’50s, and on to the movie years, 1956-1969, closing with the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas & Elvis on Tour years 1969-1977.

“Tupelo to Vegas” is re-created by the talents of 2018 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion, BEN THOMPSON, and 2021 Images of The King Champion, Moses Snow, backed by Fever The Band, with special guest, Shake Rattle & Roll.

Multi-award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist Ben Thompson from London, England, is one of the select few who can successfully recreate all the eras of Elvis.

Maintaining the authentic high, energetic performances and the charming charisma that Elvis was known for has led the 27-year-old to travel the world, keeping Elvis’ legacy alive. From winning the ‘Best 50’s Elvis’ in the UK in 2011 at just 17 years old to Branson Ultimate Elvis Contest Champion’ 2017’. Ben’s performances are genuinely respectful and authentic, representing such a name as Elvis Presley. He was crowned Graceland’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion in 2018.

He has performed with Elvis’ original backup singers on 30 occasions, allowing Ben to experience one of his dreams. He also starred as Elvis Presley in the blockbuster film ‘Bladerunner 2049’ alongside Harrison Ford.

MOSES SNOW, the winner of the Images of The King Champion 2021, is from Haslet (Fort Worth), Texas, and is a one-of-a-kind Young Elvis Presley Tribute Artist (ETA). He started his journey in the Elvis music world at 13 and is considered by many to be the future of the Elvis Tribute World! Moses has entertained both nationally and internationally. His swift moves and boyish charm make you think you are genuinely watching Elvis during his early career in the 1950s.

The nationally, internationally known doo-wop ladies’ group, SHAKE RATTLE & ROLL, opens the show with rock & roll fun, plus back-up for the performers. Shake Rattle & Roll, winner of the Las Vegas Doo-Wop Contest, is a fun, talented girl group specializing in music from the 50s and 60s.

FEVER, THE BAND, Dallas/Fort Worth-based, backs the best of the best in the Elvis Tribute world. Fever The Band has backed Elvis and other Celebrity Tribute Artists around the United States for over 20 years.

“Tupelo to Vegas” combines all of the above talents into one performance creating a Rock’n’Roll production everyone from ages 6 to 106 will enjoy.

A Rock'n'Roll Christmas with Shake, Rattle & Roll

If Every Day Could Be Like Christmas, Tyler, TX

If Every Day Could Be Like Christmas, December 17, 2022, Liberty Hall, 7:00 pm

“If Every Day Could Be Like Christmas” Press Release

Liberty Hall, Tyler, Texas, December 17, 2022

“If Every Day Was Like Christmas” is a song written in 1965 by Red West and popularized by his friend and employer Elvis Presley in 1966 when Elvis recorded and released it as a single. Presley rereleased it in 1970 on his Camden Elvis’ Christmas Album.

“Red West Remembers Writing “If Every Day Was Like Christmas” for The King. Red says,  “One night, we [Elvis and I] were in the theatre, and for some reason, the urge hit me to write a holiday song. It was August, and I wrote“If Every Day Was Like Christmas” in about an hour and a half. I recorded a demo with Chips Moman at Stax and put it out locally only sold 3000 copies, so I had Elvis listen to it. We went to Nashville to record three songs. “If Every Day Was Like Christmas” was one of the three songs. Elvis didn’t feel like going into the studio at the time, so I went in and did the vocals while the band played. We had a tape recorder, and Elvis wanted to hear it. It was a two-track tape recorder, and he put his voice over it in the hotel. He loved all three songs, especially “If Every Day Was Like Christmas.”

Stardom Entertainment’s production “If Every Day Could Be Like Christmas” takes you on a magical Christmas Journey of what Presley’s friend and bodyguard, Red West, envisioned as he sat in his home on a hot August day. He envisioned bells chiming, saying Christmas is near, telling the world that it’s the season of cheer. He closes his eyes, hears a choir singing, and feels the peace in the air. He envisions a smiling child telling Santa what to bring and feels this is worth more than anything in the world.

He opens his eyes and writes. Oh, why can’t every day be like Christmas? Why can’t that feeling go on endlessly? If every day could be just like Christmas, What a wonderful world this would be.

2009 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion, Bill Cherry, and 2021 Images of The King Champion, Moses Snow, with Doo-Wop Las Vegas Champions, Shake Rattle & Roll, backed by the world-renowned tribute band, Fever the Band, take you on this magical journey.

You will experience the Christmas magic Red West wrote about, and Elvis created with the magic of the song “If Every Day Was Like Christmas.”

A fun Christmas experience for every family member from 3 to 103.
